DIY yoga cards for kids

An activity to create your own yoga cards and let kids use them to practice yoga.

Oliver, Emily and myself prepared this workshop for an Italian printed collection about the Montessori method: Gioca e Impara con il metodo Montessori curated by Grazia Honegger Fresco and published by Il Corriere della Sera and La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The workshop was born from an idea that I saw for the first time in the Montessori school where Emily and Oliver went in San Pedro (Spain) and it is very simple to implement.

You just need to have fun practicing some yoga poses with your kids, take photos of your favorite poses, print them on cardboard and… voilat, yoga cards done! Optionally, you can also decide to write the names of the poses under the images.

We practiced some yoga poses.
We printed the cards.
The kids use the cards to practice their yoga poses.
