When they’re 6, children have one foot in the first plane of development and one in the second: they’re already big, but still small. It’s as if they’re alone on a bridge that takes them to puberty: sometimes they run to the other side and we see them so big; other times they look back, they see us further away, and remember that maybe they don't really want to be big. And so they come back. At that moment they might behave uncomfortably, like "small children”: it’s not a regression, it’s their need for our presence, to keep us closer a little longer, because they realise that they are moving further and further. Let's welcome them.⁣
