A little boy asks his mom, “Why did that lady ask me many questions?”. She replied, “She was making sure you’re smart enough for school”.⁣
There. That’s the problem with the traditional schooling system: it makes us believe that school evaluates how smart kids are.⁣
I don’t want my kids to be “smart enough for school”. I want them to be SMART ENOUGH FOR LIFE. To care for others and the planet. To recognise when they’re smart, and admit when they‘re not. Make smart life decisions.⁣
We keep sending the wrong message about what intelligence is. Smart is not ❌ “I get good scores”. Smart is ✅ “I am a good person”. ⁣
