This beach was not in our plans. Long downhill means long uphill, it seemed too hard with the kids. But then we looked down (sea lions everywhere!), Alex and I looked at each other “we don’t even have the carrier”. “But we have to go!”. And so we did, and it was a highlight of our road trip. It was empowering. And it wasn’t even that difficult, because the kids surprise us and walked all the way up by themselves.
And that’s also life. When you feel that thrill in your heart for something that seems too hard—a new job, a new adventure, a new challenge, a new chapter—that’s exactly when you have to step out of your comfort zone, and say yes.
