Full-time traveling has confirmed something about me. I’m finding it a lot harder to make friends. Making friends as an adult is not like when you were in school, when all the weird quirks became the norm and you were accepting of it all. When we come into ourselves as adults, we’re not interested in working through quirks and dealing with somebody’s being so different from us. We’re in a time in our life when we have so much going on that we need connection, similarity, relatability—and we need it right now. All in or all out. Friendship at first sight. I’d much rather spending time by myself than investing in a new relationship that is not mutually enriching. Do you notice the same about yourself?
